Flat roof insulation could save you £390 on your energy bills

Around a quarter of heat losses in a home is via a poorly insulated roof. With flat roof insulation you could save £390 per year on your energy bills.

Why do I need flat roof insulation?

As heat rises, around a quarter of the heat lost in your home escapes through the roof. Many flat roofs have been constructed with either no or very little insulation. If your home has either a full flat roof or an extension with a flat roof we can upgrade your flat roof with insulation. As well as helping reduce your energy bills, you will also benefit from a new roof covering.

According to the Energy Saving Trust, a gas heated semi-detached house with no roof insulation could save £230 on their heating bills per year.

As well as making your home warmer in the winter, flat roof insulation will also help keep your home cooler in the summer.

What is flat roof insulation?

Flat roof insulation involves installing a layer of insulation on top of your existing roof to provide you with a Warm Roof.

We will lay 150mm of insulation over the existing roof felt before installing a a plywood deck and new weatherproof membrane above this.

Not only could you save hundreds of pounds per year, but you will also reduce your carbon emissions. A typical semi-detached house with a flat roof would reduce carbon emissions by around 610kg per year.
